Our Values in Action
At Tender Tree Montessori, our values guide everything we do — from how we welcome children in the morning to how we support them through challenges, growth, and learning.
Our C.A.R.E. values are not slogans. They are practiced daily through intentional teaching, respectful relationships, and thoughtfully prepared environments.
C — Care
Care for Self, Others, and the Environment
Care is the foundation of our community. Children learn that they are worthy of care — and that they are capable of caring for others.
What Care Looks Like in Action:
Care builds emotional safety, which allows learning to flourish.

A — Ambition
Ambition to Learn, Grow, and Try
Ambition in early childhood is not about pressure — it’s about curiosity, confidence, and perseverance.
What Ambition Looks Like in Action:
Ambition helps children view themselves as capable learners.
R — Resiliency
Resiliency During Challenge, Change, and Growth
Resiliency is developed when children are supported — not shielded — through age-appropriate challenges.
What Resiliency Looks Like in Action:
Resiliency supports children in developing confidence and emotional strength.
E — Empathy
Our program serves children who are highly susceptible to illness due to age or medical vulnerability. For this reason, adherence to illness and medication policies is essential.
Sending a sick child to care places others at risk and may result in automatic send-home procedures. We appreciate families’ support in protecting the safety of the entire community.
Empathy for Feelings, Differences, and Community
Empathy is learned through experience, modelling, and respectful relationships.
What Empathy Looks Like in Action:
Empathy helps children build strong social relationships and a sense of belonging.

C.A.R.E. Across All Programs
Our values are embedded across all age groups:
C.A.R.E. grows alongside your child.
Partnering With Families Through C.A.R.E.
Families are essential partners in our community. We work collaboratively to:
When children experience consistency between home and school, they thrive.

Why Values Matter in Early Learning
Early childhood is when children form their understanding of:
By embedding Care, Ambition, Resiliency, and Empathy into daily practice, we help children develop skills that extend far beyond the classroom.
