Parent Community House Rules
Creating a Respectful & Supportive Community
At Tender Tree Montessori, our parent community spaces — both in person and online — are extensions of our program values. We ask all families to engage in ways that reflect Care, Ambition, Resiliency, and Empathy (C.A.R.E.).
Our Community Commitments
A Respectful & Supportive Online Space
To ensure a positive experience for everyone, we ask that all online interactions reflect the same respect, empathy, and professionalism we value in person.
Respectful Communication
- Treat all families, educators, and staff with kindness and respect
- Use thoughtful, professional language in all interactions
- Differences of opinion are welcome; disrespectful behavior is not
Extended services are charged at face value once scheduled, as spots cannot be reassigned to other children.
Privacy & Confidentiality
- Do not share information about other children, families, or staff
- Avoid posting photos or details of children other than your own
- Respect the privacy of families who choose not to engage online
Child-Centered Focus
- Avoid comparisons between children or programs
- Keep discussions aligned with the well-being of children and the program community
- Refrain from speculation about individual child needs, behaviors, or placements
Appropriate Use of Community Spaces
Our parent community spaces are intended for:
- Program updates and reminders
- Celebrating learning experiences and events
- Community connection and general questions
They are not intended for:
- Individual child concerns
- Complaints, disputes, or grievances
- Urgent matters or licensing-related issues
For personal or time-sensitive concerns, families should contact the program directly.
Constructive Feedback & Concerns
We value parent feedback and open communication.
- Individual concerns should be raised privately with educators or administration
- Feedback shared online should remain constructive and general
- Conflicts are best resolved through respectful, direct communication
This helps ensure concerns are addressed accurately, confidentially, and effectively.
Maintaining an Inclusive & Welcoming Community
- Our community includes families from diverse backgrounds and experiences
- Discriminatory, judgmental, or exclusionary language will not be tolerated
- We celebrate diversity and foster belonging for all families
Moderation & Boundaries
To maintain a safe and positive space:
- Administrators reserve the right to moderate posts or comments
- Content that does not align with these guidelines may be removed
- Repeated disregard for community expectations may result in restricted access
These measures help protect the well-being of children, families, and staff.
A Shared Responsibility
By participating in our parent community spaces, families agree to uphold these values and guidelines. Together, we create an environment where communication remains respectful, supportive, and centered on children’s growth and well-being.
Thank you for being a valued part of the Tender Tree Montessori community.
Working Together
We are grateful to be part of a diverse, engaged parent community. When families, educators, and leadership work together with trust and respect, children feel safe, supported, and confident.
