Frequently Asked Questions
Do you offer extended hours?
Yes. We offer extended care from 5:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m., with optional weekend care. Extended care is structured to remain calm and emotionally supportive.
Is your program eligible for Alberta childcare funding?
Yes. Standard weekday care (6:00 a.m.–6:00 p.m., Monday–Friday) may be eligible for the Alberta Child Care Affordability Grant. Extended and optional services are not grant-funded.
How do you support children’s development?
Children learn through hands-on experiences, purposeful play, and care routines that promote independence and emotional well-being.
Educators observe, reflect, and document children’s learning to ensure programming responds to each child’s needs while respecting their individual pace of development.
How do you communicate with families?
We value open, respectful communication. Families receive regular updates through our parent communication system, as well as in-person discussions during drop-off and pick-up when appropriate.
Families are encouraged to share insights, routines, and goals for their child so we can work together.
Do you support children with additional needs?
Yes. We are committed to inclusive practice and supporting children of all abilities. When additional supports are needed, we work collaboratively with families and community partners to ensure children can participate fully in our program.
How do children transition into the program?
Transitions are individualized. Some children benefit from gradual transitions, while others may begin full-time care right away. We work closely with families to support a smooth and positive start.
